Secondary Education with specialized certification in Personnel Administration, Accounting and Finance
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in administrative assistance of project implementation and management preferably in a civil service, NGO, or international organisation environment. Computer literacy, specifically advanced skills in MS Office Suite. Work experience in the United Nations System or European Union -funded projects would be an asset.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.

Channels TV  currently seeks a Master Control Operator for its Headquarters in Lagos. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Summary of Role: The Master Control Operator will be responsible for performing all on-air operations to include recording, downloading, uploading and editing of all on-air programming and commercial material in a live news programme.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate all control room equipment associated with a typical live news programme and sports master control room.
- Monitor and maintain the quality, continuity and availability of multiple networks and distribution channels in a live and non live environment.
- Work with broadcast systems incorporating logs/playlists to manage content playout.
- Ensure continuity of on-air schedules in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors video/audio quality and signal availability using waveform monitors, meters and other test and monitoring equipment
- Prepare and maintain sports, news programmes and associated databases for air.
- Capture and encoding of content related to on-air schedules.
- Assists media operations group in the recording and storage of content feeds
- Manages deployment and retrieval of playlists and as-run files, and monitors commercial insertion system.
- Integrates live and previously recorded program content with commercials and promotional spots.
- Maintains program and break continuity.
- Operate on-air branding and news.
Position Requirements: Knowledge & Experience in IT
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient with computers and MS office software.

REQUIREMENTS:
 • A degree in social sciences and / or a development field, or equivalent in experience
 • Experiences working with designing monitoring and evaluation strategies and systems in donor funded projects
 • Experience of conducting primary qualitative and quantitative research
 • Experience with management of different sources of data and multiple indicators
 • Experience of data processing and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data sets, using data bases, such as SPSS
 • Must be familiar with working in rural areas with focus on participatory processes
 • Must have excellent communication/interactive skills

REQUIREMENTS:
 • Hold of a Degree in management, marketing and / or a health, or equivalent experience.
 • Exceptional management and leadership ability. A self-starter, able to run the Social Franchising project sometimes with limited supervision.
 • At least 5 years experience In a project management role in either an NGO or commercial sector.
 • Highly creative, innovative and numerate with strong management and organisational ability.
 • Excellent communications, presentation and negotiation skills in English. Computer literate
