POSITION 2: TEAM LEAD IP PLANNING ACCESS

• At least 4 years experience in a telecoms systems integration preferably in a mobile service provider environment.
• Sound understanding of access and metro transmission technologies, e.g. LRE, XDSL, PDH, SDH & DWDM.
• Sound working knowledge of IP/MPLS technology is essential.
• Networking protocols such as ISDN, XDSL, X.25, Frame Relay & ATM.
• Voice Networking standards H.232, SIP, ETSI/ANSI, VOIP, and C7 (SS7). 
• Advanced Routing mechanisms & protocols (Exterior and Interior Gateway, IS-IS, etc). 
• Quality of Service mechanisms design & deployment techniques.
• Bachelors degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.

A number of Oxford colleges offer Reach Oxford scholarships (formerly Oxford Student Scholarships) to students from developing countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries.

 

ELIGIBILITY: DEVELOPING COUNTRIES INCLUDING NIGERIA [EXCEPT SAUDI ARABIA]

LEVEL OF STUDY: UNDERGRADUATE

CRITERIA: This scheme is only suitable for candidates of the highest academic ability who have outstanding examination results. However, financial need and social commitment are also major criteria for selection.

 

SCHOLARSHIP VALUE: University and college fees,full grant for living expenses,return flight ticket to the UK at the start and end of course.

 

 HOW TO APPLY:  You must make an application to the University through UCAS by 15 October 2010 and be successful in gaining a place. You will then need to complete a separate scholarship application form.
