JOB VACANCY: Graduate Trainees (References No: GT01)

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates should possess a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Degree or Second Class Lower with a good Masters Degree in the following areas:
• Science: Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science, Physics, Surveying and Mathematics.
• Engineering: Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil Environmental, Pipeline, Marine Engineering.
• Business/Finance: Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Insurance, etc.
• Social Sciences: Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources etc.
• Art/Humanities: Mass Communication, English, History, etc.
• Law
• Medical and Health Science: Radiography, Laboratory Science, Occupational Health, and Nursing (RN, SRN)
Candidates must have graduated in the last 5 years and must not be more than 29 years by December, 2012 with 0 – 3 years work experience.

Candidates must have completed the mandatory NYSC program by October 2012.
Good leadership traits, verbal and written communication and computer skills.
Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills and have ability to do well in a multi disciplinary and culturally diverse workplace.

NNPC SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS FOR NIGERIANS

 Nigeria Producing Nigerian National Undergraduate Scholarship Awards As part of its support to educational development and human capacity building, Mobil Producing Nigeria, operator of NNPC/MPN Joint Venture awards annual scholarships to qualified students in Nigerian Universities .

GEOGRAPHICAL COVERAGE
Awards will be made to qualified and suitable students from every state of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

DISCIPLINES
Applications in the following list of approved disciplines will be considered:
1.         Petroleum Engineering
2.         Chemical Engineering
3.         Mechanical Engineering
4.         Electrical/Electronics Engineering
5.         Civil Engineering
6.         Geology/Geophysics
7.         Medicine (MBBS Only)
8.         Agricultural Science (And related fields)

Eligibility:
Candidates must be holders of the SSCE or its equivalent with at least six subjects passed at a sitting with a minimum of 5  Distinctions.
Applicants must be registered full-time undergraduates in their 1st or 2nd year of study in any Nigerian University.
Students who are currently on similar scholarship awards from other oil and gas companies need not apply.
Dependants of employees of Mobil Producing Nigeria, Mobil Oil Nigeria plc and Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited are not eligible for this scholarship .

Shortlisted candidates will be required to come with the original and photocopy of the following documents for screening prior to taking the qualifying Test:
  • Evidence of SSCE result or its equivalent.

  • Current University Identify Card.
  • 2 Current Passport Photographs.
  • Evidence of State of Origin obtained from the appropriate Local government Area and duly signed by the Chairman or Secretary.
Names of short-listed candidates for the qualifying Test will be published on the MPN website and in National Dailies.

NNPC RECRUITMENT SHORTLISTED APPLICANTS FOR 2011

For those that applied for the NNPC Job Vacancy Recruitment in November 2010, NNPC has started sending out invitations to shortlisted applicants for an aptitude/knowledge test.
A hard copy of the invitation has also been sent via courier to the address that was used to apply.
Below is a copy of the email that was sent to someone who lives in Benin City (the date for Benin City is 26 March, we don’t know if it is the same for other states). If you did not apply, please tell your friends who did to check their email inbox or spam.

INVITATION FOR APTITUDE/KNOWLEDGE TEST FOR EMPLOYMENT IN THE NIGERIAN NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION (NNPC )

Following your response and online application to the job advertisement placed by NNPC in the national newspapers in November 2010, you have been shortlisted for an aptitude and knowledge test with the organisation. Details are as follows:

Test Details (For those from Benin only, may be different for other states)

Venue:    Igbenidion Education Centre Murtala Muhammed Way, Benin City, Edo State – (For those from Benin only, may be different for other states)

Date:      Saturday 26th March, 2011 – (For those from Benin only, may be different for other states)

Time:    Accreditation starts at 11:00am prompt; the Test starts at 1:30pm

Accreditation requirements
You are required to bring ALL of the following:
A print out of this email showing the sender and recipient’s email addresses
An original courier copy of this invitation that has been dispatched to the contact address you provided
